Erez Berg

Rochester Institute of Technology

Erez Berg is a condensed matter theoretical physicist, interested in quantum collective behavior of particles, such as electrons in a solid. He is working on superconductivity, topological phases of matter, and quantum dynamics. He completed his BSc and MSc at the Technion, Israel, and his PhD at Stanford University, USA. Currently, he is a faculty member in the Materials Department at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Prof. Berg is a fellow of the American Physical Society. He received the 2024 André Deloro prize for scientific research, the 2019 Blavatnik award for young researchers in Israel, and the 2013 Minerva Arches prize.
