Stranahan Hall is the oldest building at the Aspen Center for Physics (ACP). It houses seven triple offices and two double offices, arranged around a central lounge. Adjacent to it is Stranahan Patio, an open-air meeting space for 50, which accommodates events, lectures, and gatherings. The building was created by Herbert Bayer, Aspen's pioneering designer, and is named in honor of the ACP's founder George Stranahan, who personally raised funds to construct it.
