Smart Hall, located at the entrance of the Aspen Center for Physics, is the largest building on campus. It contains Flug Forum, the auditorium where large public lectures are held, as well as staff offices, and twenty-six double offices for physicists, interspersed between breakout rooms.
The Smart Family Foundation of Connecticut funded the construction of Smart Hall in 1996. The gift was arranged by A. Douglas Stone, a Smart family member who is a past ACP member, Scientific Secretary, and Trustee.
